Laurie brings innovation and a unique perspective in how clinical care links to healthcare finance along with her over 20 years of nursing and care management leadership. Her vast background experience includes owning her own medical billing company, serving as a RAC Auditor for a large, multi-hospital system, hospital care management leadership and consulting services. Laurie helps build strong relationships with physicians, nurses, and other key leaders to create standard and reliable work processes to achieve goals set by hospital leadership.
Key Areas of Expertise: CMS compliance, utilization management, patient progression of care & discharge planning, clinical documentation, care management scorecards, outcome management including LOS, readmission rates, denials, and appeals.
Laurie is a registered nurse and has earned her case management certification (ACM) from the American Case Management Association.
Laurie and her husband enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest and spending time visiting national parks.
